Whose rules these are
Each carrier sets its own carry-on and checked allowances, size and weight limits and baggage charges. An allowance can differ by route, by cabin and by fare type on the same carrier, and the most restricted fares include no checked bag at all. The CCV Enterprises desk cannot alter any of it.
Baggage charges at the quote stage
U.S. Department of Transportation rules require a carrier and a ticket agent to disclose that baggage charges may apply and where those charges are published. A quote from this desk states the baggage each fare carries and links to the carrier's fee page, so two fares can be compared with the bags counted in rather than left out.
Verifying the allowance
Your quote and itinerary report the included baggage as the carrier states it. Before departure, confirm it on the carrier's website using the confirmation code, and do so for each carrier where the itinerary involves more than one.
Baggage through a connection
Where every sector sits on one ticket, checked baggage normally travels through to the final stop. On separate tickets you may have to collect and re-check, and each carrier can levy its own charge. The itinerary states which situation you are in.
Restricted items
Liquids, lithium batteries, power banks and other items are governed by Transportation Security Administration rules and by the carrier's own. Read the TSA's current guidance and the carrier's list before packing.
Baggage lost, delayed or damaged
Report missing or damaged baggage to the carrier at the airport before leaving it, and keep the report reference. A claim is handled by the carrier under its own conditions and the federal rules. On a record held here, the desk can identify where to file and track the claim with you.
