FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How this desk works, question by question. Anything not covered here can go to the contact page.

The desk and the company

Is CCV Enterprises an airline?

No. CCV Enterprises is a general trading company, and this website is its travel desk. The desk arranges seats on other carriers' flights as an independent travel agency. It is owned by no carrier, endorsed by none, and no aircraft anywhere flies under this name.

Why does a trading company run a flight desk?

Because the owner decided to run the travel service on this domain and under this name. It is a travel desk operated by CCV Enterprises, and the terms, policies and booking records on this site all belong to that desk.

Are these the cheapest fares available?

The desk makes no such claim and guarantees no price. Fares belong to the airlines and the same fare is often on sale elsewhere. What the desk offers is a comparison of what it can find for your dates, the conditions written out, and one total.

Can a flight be booked on the site right now?

No. The search returns sample data, and the site takes no payment and issues no ticket. Send the journey to the desk instead and an agent will come back with fares pulled on the day.

When is the desk staffed?

The desk is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Write to it from the contact page or ask for a callback and an agent will ring you.

Totals, fees and payment

Does a quoted total contain everything?

It contains the airline fare, the taxes, the government and airport charges and the desk fee, in USD. Optional extras such as a checked bag or a chosen seat are the airline's own charges, listed apart with a link to the carrier's fee page.

What is the desk fee?

Our service fee is charged per passenger and is shown on its own line in your quote, before you pay. It sits outside the airline fare and inside the total. The Service Fee Policy sets out what it covers.

Can a quoted fare move?

Yes. A fare is fixed only when the airline issues the ticket. If it moves between the quote and the issue, the revised total comes to you and nothing proceeds without a second approval.

How is payment taken?

Through a third-party payment provider. A card is keyed into that provider's secure page, which is not part of this site and does not pass the number back to it. What gets collected is the approved total and no other figure.

When the itinerary changes

What does moving a flight cost?

The fare difference, plus any airline change charge your fare conditions set, plus the desk fee for filing it. All three arrive as one quote and nothing is filed until you approve it.

Is a refund due when the airline cancels?

If an airline cancels or significantly changes a flight and you decline the alternative, the federal rules generally require a refund. Where they require one, you receive it, and the expected timing is stated when the claim is filed.

The ticket was bought from the airline. Can this desk change it?

No. The desk can act only on records it holds. A ticket bought from an airline or from another agency has to go back to that seller.

Before departure

Who is responsible for passports and entry rules?

Each traveler is. The desk will point out where a passport or visa is likely to be needed, but the U.S. Department of State and the destination's own authorities are the only authority on it.

Where are baggage charges found?

With the airline, since the allowance follows the fare. Your itinerary links to the carrier's baggage fee page, and the Baggage Information page lists what to check before packing.

What identification is needed on a domestic flight?

An adult needs identification the security checkpoint accepts, such as a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or a passport. The Transportation Security Administration publishes the current list.

A journey to price?

Send the route, the dates and the number of travelers. An agent opens a record and replies with options and one total. Nothing is reserved until you say so.
