What can be requested

Depending on where you live, and in particular under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, you may ask the desk to:

  • Disclose what personal information it has collected about you, where it came from, why it is used and who receives it, and to provide a copy.
  • Delete personal information it holds about you, subject to the exceptions the law allows.
  • Correct personal information that is inaccurate.
  • Opt out of sale or sharing. Personal information is not sold. Advertising cookies, which several state laws treat as sharing, run only when switched on, and can be switched off on the Cookie Preferences page or by asking here.

Using any of these rights will not get you refused service, charged a different price, or given a lesser level of service.

Verification and authorized agents

Before anything is acted on, the desk establishes that the request really comes from you, normally by making contact on the email address or telephone number recorded against your booking. Do not send identity documents unprompted; where one is needed, you will be told how to send it securely. Another person may make the request as your authorized agent, provided they can show that you gave them that authority.

What happens next

Your request is acknowledged and answered inside the period the applicable law allows. Some entries have to be retained for legal, tax or accounting reasons, or because a booking is still live; where that applies, the answer explains which entries and why. Questions go to contact@ccventerprises.com.
