Service Fee Policy

The fee

Our service fee is charged per passenger and is shown on its own line in your quote, before you pay.

That line is the CCV Enterprises desk's own earnings on the work of putting a booking together and keeping it in order afterward. It is recorded apart from the airline fare, the taxes and the government and airport charges, none of which the desk sets or keeps.

Contained in the price you are shown

U.S. Department of Transportation rules require a ticket agent to include every mandatory tax and fee, its own service fee among them, in the price it advertises. Each total quoted here contains the desk fee, and the quote also prints that fee on its own line so you can see what goes to the carrier and what stays with the desk. The whole figure is in front of you before you pay, and only the figure you approved is collected.

The work it covers

• Searching the reservation systems and drafting the options for your dates.
• Reading the fare conditions and the baggage position on each option.
• Writing the quote and placing the booking.
• Issuing the confirmation, ticket number and itinerary.
• Answering questions on the record before departure.

Fees on later requests

An amendment, a cancellation, a name correction, a seat assignment or an upgrade is further work, and a desk fee may apply to each. Where it does, it appears on the quote for that request, on a line of its own apart from any carrier charge, so the decision is made with the figure visible.

Whether the fee returns

Your quote states, before you pay, whether any part of the desk fee returns if you cancel or if the carrier cancels. A refund that the federal rules require is never reduced by the desk fee.

Tax on the fee

Where sales tax or any other tax applies to the desk fee, it is charged as the law requires and printed on your receipt.
