Family and honeymoon travel

A family trip and a honeymoon are opposite problems with the same solution: ask the specific question before booking. For a family it is cots, connecting rooms, a shallow end, a kitchen, how far the walk is with a pushchair. For a honeymoon it is which rooms are actually quiet, whether the terrace is private, and how long the transfer really takes at the end of a long journey.

Neither is answerable from a photograph, and neither can be fixed on arrival. So we ask the property directly and report what we were told, including when the answer is unsatisfactory.

If you are marking an occasion, tell us. Some properties will do something about it and some will not, and we would rather tell you which than let you hope.

How it works

   Tell us who is travelling

   Ages of the children, how you want the rooms split, and anything about the party that shapes the choice of building.

   We ask the specific questions

   Cot availability, connecting rooms, pool fencing, stairs, distance to the beach or the lift. Specific questions, specific answers.

   You see what each property can and cannot do

   Including the unwelcome answers. A villa with an unfenced pool is a fact, not a detail to discover on arrival.

   Approve the total

   Quoted on the occupancy you actually need, with any cot or extra-bed charge already in it.

   The requirement goes to the supplier in writing

   Not mentioned on a telephone call. In writing, on the booking, so it is on their record too.
