Changes and Rebooking Policy

An amendment is priced as fare difference, plus any carrier change charge, plus the desk fee, and is filed only once you have accepted that price.

Which records this covers

This policy applies to journeys booked through the CCV Enterprises desk. A ticket issued by another seller has to be amended by that carrier or that agency.

What can be amended

Depending on the fare, the date, the flight time, the routing or the cabin may be open to amendment. The most restricted fares permit none. Substituting a different traveler is generally not permitted; for a spelling error see the name correction page.

How the cost is built

An amendment quote can carry three lines:

  1. Fare difference — what the replacement flight prices at now, measured against what you originally paid, as the carrier reprices it.
  2. Carrier change charge — the charge set by your fare conditions, where one is set. Many fares no longer carry any.
  3. Desk fee — what the desk charges for filing the amendment, printed on its own line.

Where the replacement fare prices lower, whether the difference returns to you, and whether as money or as credit, is decided by the carrier's rules.

Nothing is filed without your approval

Your booking stands exactly as it is until you accept the quote in writing and settle whatever is due. The fare difference is not frozen while you consider it and can move right up to the moment the carrier processes the amendment.

An amendment the carrier initiates

Where a carrier amends or cancels your flight it may offer another at no charge. Where the change is significant and you decline that alternative, the federal rules generally entitle you to a refund instead. What the carrier has put forward is reported to you, and whichever option you choose is carried out. Any desk fee for that work appears in a quote before the desk proceeds.

Timing

Carriers may close amendments as departure approaches. Lodge the request as early as you can, and treat an amendment as unmade until the revised itinerary has reached you from the desk.
