Seat & upgrade assistance

Seats and upgrades

Extra legroom, a window, adjacent seats or a higher cabin, requested where the operating airline offers it for sale.

For bookings made through CCV Enterprises. Airline rules and fees apply, and nothing is changed until you approve a written quote.

What is available rests on three things: the carrier, the aircraft rostered on the day and the fare on the ticket. Some fares include seat selection. Many restricted fares charge for it or assign a seat at check-in. An upgrade may be sold at a set price, offered as a bid, or reachable only by repricing to a higher fare.

An agent checks what your ticket allows, what each option costs and whether an upgrade alters the conditions you bought. A higher cabin often brings a larger baggage allowance and a different change rule, and both are written out before you decide.

The quote shows the airline's charge and the desk fee on separate lines. The request is filed on your approval and not before it.

How it works

  1. State the preference

The seat type, the travelers it is for, or the cabin you want and on which sectors.

  2. Map and paths checked

An agent reads the seat map and the upgrade routes your fare permits.

  3. Quote and approval

The airline charge, the desk fee and any change to your fare conditions, before payment.

  4. Recorded in writing

When the carrier confirms the seat or the cabin, the revised details are sent to you.

Questions about this service

Is an upgrade just a better seat?

No. A seat assignment leaves your cabin and your fare as they are. An upgrade moves you into a different cabin and can rewrite your baggage allowance and your change conditions.

Can one sector of a connecting itinerary be upgraded on its own?

Sometimes. It turns on the carrier and on how the fare was constructed. The desk establishes whether it is possible and prices it before you commit.

Is a seat charge returned if the airline moves me?

Carriers generally refund a seat charge when the seat paid for cannot be provided, each by its own process. Report it to the desk and the claim is put to the airline.

A journey to price?

Send the route, the dates and the number of travelers. An agent opens a record and replies with options and one total. Nothing is reserved until you say so.
