Manali and Rishikesh over six nights
Three nights in the orchards above Manali, three on the river at Rishikesh, and a long road day between them.
Two very different kinds of mountain. Manali is high, cold and about the valley; Rishikesh is low, warm and about the river. The road between them is long — nine to ten hours — and it is written in as a day of its own.
If that drive does not appeal, say so: we can quote the two halves as separate trips, or fly you between them when the Bhuntar weather allows, which is not always.

Arrive in Manali
Met and driven up to the lodge. The approach lane is steep; the transfer is arranged for that reason.

The valley on foot
A walk through the orchards and down into Old Manali. Deliberately gentle — the altitude deserves a day.

Up the valley
A car for the day up towards the pass, as far as the road and the weather allow. No pass is promised.

Manali to Rishikesh
A long road day, nine to ten hours with stops. It is a travel day and nothing else.

On the river
Rafting from the camp in the morning, water levels permitting. The afternoon is on the beach by the tents.

Into Rishikesh
A morning in the town, across the footbridges and along the ghats, back to camp for the evening ceremony or for quiet.

Departure
Transfer to Dehradun airport or Haridwar station, about an hour either way.
